Cannabis In the UK Upping To a Class B  |

 As most people know by know, the drug class of Cannabis has gone up to a B, Before being a C and ALMOST legalised. Is this right? or should the government being focusing on more worrying things like un-employment and domestic problems? My opinion is that exactly, if anyone knows weed smokers in the UK; Most of them are pretty peaceful people, who can't really be bothered to go out and steal something or start a fight lol. What do you reckon? Yay no Nay?

Cannabis is an anti-dression and in some cases a pain killer. Sometimes it is used as a precription medicine so it can't be that harmfull.

Not to mention that the majority of England's politicians smoke or have smoked pot in the passed. Mind you, if they put the fuel prices up any more, there won't be any money over to afford a little relaxation for those that want it!
You do make me laugh though with you comment about being peaceful and not bothered to go out and steal - as I remember it - being high (mostly) seemed to induce a certain inertia and couldn't be bothered attitude, and enough of the stuff would do things to one's memory too= guess in the end it may become a case of rather sitting around smoking instead of getting up and actually doing something - anything, whether it be stealing or gardening (for eg).
Don't get me wrong - I am not against weed, and in my day, did indeed smoke a bit of the stuff. However, life moved on, kids arrived, responsible job, etc... and that was that.
I think perhaps the government is worried about breeding a society of people who start off on weed and then move on to harder stuff ... that may not be you, but others do have more addictive personalities and it can become a problem. Perhaps the government would rather have a generation of people striving to get ahead and working hard, rather then a generation who sit back and do nothing (I am generalising here - this does not apply to everyone - obviously), possibly living off government benefits rather than trying to support themselves.
Perhaps they feel that if it is legalised it will become far more popular and will breed a huge problem as I described above - and their worries of health issues, paranoia, etc may well be just a small part of their reasoning.

Plus skunk is pretty good anwyay haha=P I look the blod also Kudos! | |

In the uk the law is quite frankly f*****. talks about clasifying it again as a 'B' have been greated by a wave of concern from Judges of all people! basically in this era of 'target lead policing' reclassifying cannabis will crush the criminal justice system. Jails are already overcrowded, the number of people who are on tags for severe crimes is increasing. Now if cannabis were legalized it would more or less put £20 billion in the uk economy from tax, it would force the importers (and exporters, the uk is exporting weed) to cooperate with the govt.

But it can be a long process - starting off by making it legal - then adding lisences to sell or whatever... It would work! there's just a few hypocritical judgementalists up at the top that think it's wrong - even though thousends of people are saying there's nothing wrong with it!
Oh and supposedly it's going back down to a class C again... Leave the poor plant alone!!! | |

It's only a plant, it's not a demon!
Euphoric High lasts anywhere between 2-5 hours and then come the munchies and sleep.
Pain reliever, takes away nausea, and aids in relaxation.

The Government should really be focusing on other things like you said. What about Alcohol and what it does to the community, people get drunk and fight, kill, steal damage peoples property and make a lot of noise, it is silly really and makes me mad.

| 9. barbie84 (5361) | 1 year ago |  i agree that they are pritty peaceful people wholst they have the drug in there system but what happens when they dont, my hubby smokes £140 a week, he is ok when he has it but when he doesnt he is agressive towards everyone including me, i hate the way the drug controls him yet they say it is not addictive, if not then why does he climb the walls without it, why cant he function properly and control his temper without it and why with it can he not be bothered to get off his backside and go to work
