Ever MET someone by texting RANDOM numbers?

At this new age. Text is typical and most convenient way to communicate with some. Not to mention, it's the fastest way too. It is also a good way to meet new people thru texting. Actually, it is one of the simplest way to know someone. Whether it could be a good or a bad one. But still some people take their chances. Back in College, texting was kind of my hobby. I got addicted to it, after I got my third phone and tried few random numbers and checked who'll respond to it. I've texted like 3 guys (not at the same time) and met them after knowing them for few months thru texting. Tell me if it was scary alright, but actually it was interesting. So tell me your stories? Ever met someone by texting RANDOM numbers?

I've never tried texting random numbers because of the fact the i would be texting someone hundred miles from my location so that would be impossible to schedule a meet up. But i try texting someone from the city then reason out that i got it from someone who sent a vcard. That someone should be unknown because the phone won't detect it right? lol! It's a better excuse than to tell them i texted randomly.

well since it's christmas,
i just texted a bunch of random numbers to tell them that even if i don't know them I'm wishing them a merry christmas.

Hi! Welcome to myLot. I havent really met met someone personally after getting to know them through text. I actually prefer not to. I got addicted to texting too when I was in high school and I have a plan at that time so I have all this extra load to spend so I made use of it. Im known to text 10 SMS to many people a day at that time and my friends had different reactions to it. I guess 10 is too much for a day.^_^ Anyways, at first I did text random numbers to see if they will respond. But after a hilw I grew tired of it and lots of unregistered numbers are texting me wanting to be my textmate or someting. Before I was generous. I mean I would really reply to them but then I only reply to them when I have load when they text otherwise its delete. Now, Im quite annoyed by it. So I dont reply to them anymore but I still save the number asking my friends if they know it because maybe its an old friends who's just tripping.
