I went to a shop last week that sold garden pots and a lot of artificial plants and furniture and too my surprise they now sell statues of all sorts and the main one on display was my favourite lady Betty Boop, OMG she was everywhere, little ones, big ones, huge ones, I would love to have a big Betty Boop but even the little ones are so expensive...When I was telling a friend of mine he told me Betty Boop is based on a real person in the War years, I must try and find her story...Don't you just love Betty???

Wow that's interesting. I never knew Betty Boop was actually a real person who lived during the war years. Were you able to find out more information on this story? I like Betty Boop too but I'm not a fanatic like you are. I used to have a Betty Boop doll when I was younger but she wasn't that huggable because her boobs were too pointy.

I have never been crazy about Betty but when my son was about 3 or 4 yrs. old he saw her on an old cartoon and fell in love! He is now 12 and still crazy about her. He actuall made a clay betty Boop head a couple of years ago. It was actually pretty good. All the other kids were making amimals or tree ornaments.

I think your son has a natural eye for the ladies and at a very young age...I think she is gorgeous, I wish I looked like her..

Betty Boop would have to be in a class of her own from any other. The story behind this would be a great read I am sure as most of those in the wartime and what they did are. If you find it lilaclady could you please let me know.

I think the character was originally a dog but was altered to be a woman.

Betty boop is so much fun!
You do know about my music player
that features a betty boop image on it?
It's on my profile page.
Very nice!
I love her. She is the ultimate Bratz doll.
Old school style. From way back.

I love Betty Boop, I have some bath products with her on them. I think it is a bath pillow and a bag that used to old some bath oils or something. They are very pretty, but as I don't go in the bath I have never used them.

oh, yeah, I love betty boop too. I think it was the first animation plushie I like. Hehe, I remember when I was a kid I also like to have a head of betty boop pillow when I saw my cousin had it. I was so envious and I recalled, I really plead to my parents to buy me also. XD But I didn't know though, till now, that she was based on the real person. Hmmm, I should read the article about betty boop by dumblnddzzy had given. :D
