|  I went to a shop last week that sold garden pots and a lot of artificial plants and furniture and too my surprise they now sell statues of all sorts and the main one on display was my favourite lady Betty Boop, OMG she was everywhere, little ones, big ones, huge ones, I would love to have a big Betty Boop but even the little ones are so expensive...When I was telling a friend of mine he told me Betty Boop is based on a real person in the War years, I must try and find her story...Don't you just love Betty???

| |  I have never been crazy about Betty but when my son was about 3 or 4 yrs. old he saw her on an old cartoon and fell in love! He is now 12 and still crazy about her. He actuall made a clay betty Boop head a couple of years ago. It was actually pretty good. All the other kids were making amimals or tree ornaments.

I love Betty Boop..I had a ton of stuff of hers and even a watch with her on the face of it and not a cheap one either, but alas, long story, but it is all gone now.
I wonder if she is based on Betty Grable? But Betty's hair was blonde not dark..ah well, you may find out and tell us.
Yes, she is the sort of collectors item that you cant help but want every single one of her!
I remember sitting on the floor in front of the television when I was not quite 3 yrs and absolutely adoring her cartoons! oxoxoox

| |  I remember Betty Boop on tv when I was young, then they took her off because she was too sexual. I did not know why at the time as I was too young. I wish I could see those old commercials again. I guess I will have to check it out on Youtube and see if there are any.
