Advertisements on myLot...   

It doesn't bother me at all, since mylot said that these is where they mostly generate the income they pay for us. I think the one's that annoy and bothers me are those flashing ads above the discussions bar, especially those blinking ads that says "you won!"

I also don't click on any of it, I just leave those stuff who are interested in it and move on..

I like most of the adds and the flashy ones dont bother me but I only click on ones that I might be interested it.

I also really hate the ads with sound. I have only seen a couple of them on Mylot, and I usually refresh the page to make the ad change.

I have noticed lately that the ads are almost creepy in how relevant some of them are, particularly the text ads. The ones that do not pertain to the discussions themselves, seem to be relevant to me, and it just dawned on me yesterday that they must be using cookies to track websites we visit. I had previously assumed they were based on the text or information in our profiles. But I keep seeing ads for an obscure web site for job searching in my particular industry. I have used that site previously, (a friend had told me about it) and I think Mylot knows this! I deleted all my cookies last night though, and somehow the ad is back!
