What's the most expensive pair of shoes you've ever purchaed? |
|
I'm a big shoe fiend. And, if I had things my way, I'd probably spend a thousand dollars on a pair of really gorgeous shoes. Alright, maybe not a thousand dollars. Maybe three hundred. For me, that would be a lot of money.
The most money I've spent on shoes was probably fifty dollars, at one time. I don't have those shoes anymore. But, I do still have my athletic shoes that I spent thirty dollars on. At first I didn't use them a lot, but then I got pregnant and they were a life saver. I wore them everywhere. In fact, those tennis shoes are the only thing that kept me standing with all the weight from my stomach.
What's the most amount of money you've ever spent on a pair of shoes? Do you still have those shoes?

beautyqueen26 (9128) | 1 year ago | For me, $75 would be a lot of money. But, then again, it would probably be a very nice pair of shoes that I would wear to a special occasion like a wedding or job interview and then I'd only wear them once.
Mostly, if I wore such shoes daily or at least twice a week, I would consider them to be a deal.
Once I spent fifteen dollars on a cute pair of slides. They were on clearance, at HSN.com, down from $45. And, I didn't even wear them once.
Mostly because the heels would slide out from under me when I wore them. They were much too slick. My daughter loved them, so now she plays with them in dress up. Totally worth the price to see her happy! And, unlike those cheap plastic kid's dress up shoes, they sell in toy stores, these shoes are real suede. Nice! Very nice. She loves them.

coolgadget (615) | 1 year ago | yeah. i think $15 is just the enough price that i should really buy for a shoe. specially i really don't wear shoes that often. anyways, i only bought expensive shoes $75 worth only once. and never happened again. and mostly i just buy about $25. but my last shoes was only about $10. but this is just locally made shoes. some imitation shoes. but really comfortable to wear. i am planning to buy those imitation again. cause they rea comfortable to wear too.

3. gemini_rose (10117) | 1 year ago | That would have to be my black knee high boots. I had always wanted a pair, but found it hard to find a pair that would fit me, plus I could never afford a pair.
I finally bit the bullet and decided to have a pair and invested in some leather ones in the hopes they would last me a while, I paid £65.00 ($130) for them and I have had them for 2 years, they still look as good as when I bought them, they have served me well!!!

4. moolahmagnet (2242) | 1 year ago | I am not a shoe person but I am always kind to my feet!
I buy whatever is comfortable and when I see one, I often
find myself buying two or three pairs of the same style
but of different colors. The most expensive shoes I ever
bought were Bally shoes while I was in Switzerland.

5. Tianna2 (1087) | 1 year ago | Hello BeautyQueen26, I bought a really cute pair of hi-heeled sandals once for $140. That was the most I've paid for a single pair of shoes that I can remember and I do still have them. I have lots of shoes and I do love my heels. Its hard to go shopping without at least visiting the shoe stores at the mall. Seems like I always come home with at least one new pair.
Your truly, Tianna

6. Adelida2233 (917) | 1 year ago | My most expensive pair of shoes is probably going to be above and beyond anyone on here, or at least anyone willing to admit they spend the same amount on rent as on a pair of shoes. My most expensive pair is a pair of Jimmy Choo's and I think they were either $625 or $650, i can't remember which now. While I'm aware this is a huge amount to spend on a pair of shoes, I still have them, and I bought them almost 5 years ago now. My main splurge is shoes, so I'm frugal with everything else to be able to afford the shoes that I want.
As a contrast, the cheapest shoes I've ever gotten were $3(not flip flops, those are all cheap). I found a pair of Nine West heels marked down because the strap had broken to $1.50. I took it to the repair shop, and another $1.50 later I had new shoes. So I buy at all ends of the scale.

7. fiona08 (323) | 1 year ago | I love shoes. I even collect miniature shoes. And I'm a huge fan of the glass slipper from Cinderella, and of course the ruby shoes from the Wizard of Oz. I have bought two pair of $300 dollar shoes, one Coach and the other Louis Vuitton, both at least 6 years ago, and I still have them both. I still find them beautiful, and feel beautiful when I put them on. However, I am a huge fan of Payless, and Target, because on my salary, if I want a lot of pretty shoes, they better come mostly for under $20. Some of my favorite heels, cost $15 to $20. Lucky we don't have to have money for Manolo Blahniks just to be beautiful, or to have beautiful feet, at the very least.;)

8. sun2day (754) | 1 year ago | About 2 months ago, this store had a sale.I was looking for dressing shoes. I bought a pair that I liked, it felt comfortable in the store, but when I got home and tried it; was hurting my feet. I took them back and had to exchange for a pair that I did not even like. Took them home they were too high, so ended up giving them to my daugther; but guess what! they were dry rotten. Orginally they were $80.00/ and was slashed in half. That was a a deal that turned sour.

9. Shaun72 (11881) | 1 year ago | My most expensive pair was proberly around $60.00 for a pair of Reebox. I use to be really crazy about shoes myself. When I worked at Walmart in the She Department. Every time I got paid I bought a new pair of shoes and I always looked in the clearence racks for clothes.I don't think I have those Reebox anymore. I most of the time wear shoes that slide on really easy now.

10. cortjo73 (2279) | 1 year ago | The most I ever spent on footwear was $190 something for a pair of black boots. They have a kitten heal, maybe an inch or an inch and a half high. I have flat feet so heals tend to hurt me but, not my boots. I got them last fall and, they are my favorite things to wear! They are stylish and gorgeous and so comfortable! I wouldn't normally spend so much on any footwear but, it always takes me forever to find a shoe with a comfortable heal that is also pretty. And, once I saw them, I had to have them. I bought them from the Piperlime site which is the online shoe store that is tied to the gap. I saw them but they didn't have them in my size. So, I stalked them for about 2 weeks until someone returned a pair in my size! Yay! I bought them as soon as I saw them! What luck! They are perfect.
Normally I shop for shoes at Payless. So, usually my shoes are pretty inexpensive.

beautyqueen26 (9128) | 1 year ago | A good pair of shoes will last a long time and are always worth it. Good for you, that you found some boots you love. When we lived in colder weather, I wore my boots everywhere. Now they lie dormant waiting for the day it snows. That will never happen, here!
