What types of Hummingbirds visit your yard?  | |  I'm in the northeast, so we only get one breed of hummingbird here and it is the Ruby-Throated hummingbird. You can tell the male and female apart since the male has a ruby-color area over his throat/neck and the female does not...it is white on her throat.
I enjoy watching them and listening to them when they fly near me. They are remarkable little creatures!
