IPL - having seen two semi-final matches, it is becoming clear that it is cricket fan who is at the receiving end. In the game some body has to win and some body has to lose. No escape from this. But how come cricketers under the so called from the pressure from franchise owners put up SHABBY performances ? Playing rash shots and without having the cricket fan in the mind is making the crucial matches in to farcical games. It is high time that franchises and players have to realise that it is the spectator and fan that is ultimate in the game and they have to see to it that they provide maximum entertainment. It is the hard earned money of the common cricket enthusiast that making millions for the owners and cricketers, at any kind of winning, a little more or a little less. IPL is a good concept and the matches till the semis were played with reasonable enthusiasm. Making players play under unreasonable pressure would only harm the fan and to some extent the cricketer which finally leads to commercialization of cricket.
