When a man's pride is hurt... | | I went out with my ex and my 14 years best friend last week... yep threesome... it was fun at first actually... but for some reason I got offended with how my best friend acted and so did my ex... it's like this... my ex was carrying a heavy bag but I didn't act as a gentleman because she hates that... I mean when I used to carry her bag when we were still together we argue first before she gives it to me... so for that reason I never force her anymore if she doesn't want me to carry her bag... it's not that I'm not concerned it's just that I'm following what she wants and acting the way I should since it's over between us anyway... but I did ask her if I could and she refused... then when we were all together... my best friend whispered to me and told me "Bro, I'll carry you backpack and you take hers..." then I told him... "You don't have to do that she doesn't want me to..." so he never asked me to do that again but he keeps on looking at her with pity until he couldn't take it anymore and he asked her if he could carry her bag... and guess what without hesitation she allowed him to... and I was offended because in the first place I'm her ex as well as current best friend and it has to be my best friend who will carry her bag... I mean it made me look like a fool... I was known for my gentlemanly acts and this is what I get... she made me look like I didn't care for her at all... when one reason why she broke up with me was because I care too much... I mean I'm just following what she wants for our friendship's sake... that was a big blow to me... I mean it there was anyone who should have carried her bag for her between me and my best friend it was supposed to be me and no one else... I mean this wasn't the first time she did that... in fact when we were still together she allowed our other friend to carry her things for her though I was already there... that's major offense for my pride as a man... does she think I'm weak?*sigh* Do I have the right to be offended in this case? Was I ungentlemanly or was I just acting the way I should? What are your views?

drsparkle314 (178) | 5 months ago | I did joke about it after that day to find out why... but I also let her know in a nice way that I was sort of offended... it's just that it was a really big blow for me... let's just put it this way... it was my best friend who carried my girlfriend's bag when I was just there all the time, is that right? it's too unusual... and I was offended cause it was as if I didn't exist... anyway thank you for the response...
