For the guys: do you still do chivalric acts for the girls specially for your girlfriend?
For the girls: is your boyfriend as gentlemanly as he should be?
Do you still believe in the old school way of courting? Do you like men who are gentlemanly? Do you women who really acts like a lady?

Hey drsparkle,
Well my boyfriend is so sweet. He makes me feel like a princess really. He always holds doors open for me and the thing that sweeps me off my feet is when he would get out of a vehicle and put out his hand for me to grab and help me out of the car. He does this alot but not always. I think it's just natural and he knows I like it so that probably makes him do it even more.
I like guys who are gentlemen-like and still know how to have fun and I act like a lady sometimes. I was a bit of a tomboy growing up and always hung out with guys, but I am starting to become more lady-like each day.

I guess having a true gentleman by your side helped you move on to a new phase... perhaps your were like that when you were younger because you were still looking for that one person who would treat you softly though you have a very strong character...

Well let's see. I believe that men should still be gentlemanly at times, not all the time if they do not wish to be. I also think that they should only be gentlemanly if the lady is lady like, or if the lady shows respect. This is in no way saying that I condone any mal behavior on the part of the male, but I do think that people should be treated as they want to be treated.
My fiance is very gentlemanly in his own respect and although he does not hold doors open for me or pull in my seat at a restaurant (as we sit in booths anyway) he is respective of me and kind to me.

Yes you're right... if a man cannot be too gentlemanly... it is enough the he shows true respect for women...
