What does this all mean to Sharon Stone?
She says that her " Words about karma were an accident of distraction.."
Does this statement means that she wants to set the record straight? Or does she play second fiddle to get the ban lifted on her films in china?
Will this apology heal the hurt sentiments of Chinese people?

I do believe that Sharon Stone is trying to clean up her act with that "karma" thing she has spoken about the Chinese people. I do think that she spoke too soon and too cruel not knowing the implications it will do on her career. Now, she is being criticized for that and has affected her career. Too bad, she has hurt a lot of people, a whole country. I just hope that she would learn her lesson well not to judge people or else she will be judge by them too.

Fine Fine... and you really keep my sagging spirits up. Really there are times i droop a lot, but your messages do give me the required thrust at the right moment.
Now that Sharon Stone would have realized that, all those that come from her mouth is not a gospel. Certainly she deserves punishment.
To utter those unkind words on those people who are already in a devastated mood, is the unkindest cut of all,which she could deliver.

I have watched her full speech video. I didn't really think she has misspoke. First, she has a very high IQ. Perhaps it's up to 140. Second, some people tend to take against China for many aspects without enough good reasons. When they disagree to China, it seems that they are rated higher. I am sure there are some people who support Sharon Stone. But they will never understand what's the right thing to do. They even don't know more about China or go to China to see by themselves. But they can make many false speech and that's quite annoying.
It's just like human beings. When someone who is beautiful, smart, nice etc. When she grows up, there are some people who will be jealous to her and say many rumors about her.

I'm pretty sure her statement is just damage control to lift the film ban. She realized she wouldn't make as much money if her films weren't shown in China. I know everyone has slips of the tongue now and then, but most celebrities have their every word and move documented by the press, so they need to think before they disparage anyone.
