Iraq and its amazing facts

I just received mail from one of my friends. I dont know how much is true, but here it goes (Some of the few )
The Garden of Eden was in Iraq
Abraham was from Ur which is in Iraq
Issacs wife Rebecca is from Nahor, which is in Iraq
Jacob met Rachel in Iraq
Belshazzar, the king of Babylon saw the writing of the wall in Iraq.
Noah built the arc in Iraq
And something to think about :-
America is represented by the eagle. Saddam should have read on his Koranic verse which states :
Koran (9:11)
For it is written that the sons of Arabia would awaken a fearsom eagle. The wrath of the Eagle would be felt throughout the land of Allah and lo, while some people trembled in despair, still more rejoiced, for the wrath of the eagle cleansed the land of Allah and there was peace.
Note the verse number.

Quran: 009.011:- But (even so), if they repent, establish regular prayers, and practise regular charity,- they are your brethren in Faith: (thus) do We explain the Signs in detail, for those who understand.

Hey, ketybhagat. I also received this in an e-mail last year. The first part is true. A lot of our Biblical stories happened in Iraq. But the part concerning the Koran is false. Here is the url on www.snopes.com that explains it: www.snopes.com/politics/war/quran911.asp
Even if true, Saddam was more of a thug, interested only in his own power, and in using Islam for his own glorification. Such a verse would not have mattered.
