Running my own business - first time

Is it really true that 9 out of 10 times you fail at your first shot at your own small business? This seems a little extreme. I mean , how many folks out there can afford just a 10% chance at starting your own business? Is this a scare tactic by government? I'd like to run my own show someday soon, and am thinking of buying a franchise ( because I don't have my own product ). But when I read things like this , I want to give up before I even start!

Starting your own business is good but there is something that you need to know. It is what you but into your business that is what you will received. If you put in 100% then you will get this as well. Customers base is a must in a business and you will have to know how to maintain this. Crediting and family members should be a mininum inside your business if you want it to be success. I did have my own business but it has closed down because I rely on my boyfriend to help me with everything and this was a failure to me. Do be scared and allow negativity derail you. Always but God first and work for what you want. All the best.

true... most of this are factual... they are baed on how many businesses have registered and how many are still operational after 3 or 5 years... they say that those business tend to survive... Don't get discouraged because of this news... You know your capabilities and try to rely on your instinct and skills... besides, why would you go into business if you'll just fail? it is up to you if you want to be part of those 90% start up businesses who failed... Good luck on your endevours...
