Music some of those lyrics are shameful!

It is just music and music isn't hurting anyone. If you don't like the music and just want to listen to the beat, listen to "christian rock" or "christian rap." Then you can listen to good beats and horrible lyrics. But you might actually like then better. I let my son listen to ICP and they have "bad" lyrics. But my husband likes the family and so we all listen to it and consider ourselve's a juggola family.

I take consolation in the fact that there is dynamism in the universe and things change. In time I am sure the puerile angst that cause these lyrics to be conjured will metamorphose into something higher and sublime. I think the big portion of these lyrics are written to shock and gain notoriety. After a while these stop being so shocking and just become boring.

I agree with you 100%. It's terrible. And they play the songs on the radio so the kids want the music even though they don't understand what the song is about. There are a few adult songs I do like, but they never made it on to the radio, I heard them in clubs. It's amazing though, what they will put on the radio. And when they bleep them or omit the worst words it just makes kids ask what is wrong with the song...lol. And since I'm complaining about dirty stuff I will vent about the violence portrayed by these songs and artists. It's crazy. If we, as parents don't monitor what our children are listening to, we are missing the boat here.
