Here's an easy, time saving tip to help you post more on MyLot.   

Ironically, I like to type out my tags, most times. But, if I'm in a real rush, and need one more tag that directly relates to the topic, then I copy/paste that tag directly from text used in the original discussion.

For instance, as you're reading the discussion, you could copy a small segment of text and then later paste it into the tag box. Just look for words or phrases that are relevant to the topic being discussed. I'm not referring to the nothing filler words like, 'and' 'or' 'the' but to actual keywords.

For instance in this discussion, relevant words might be, "tags" "keywords" "save time" etc. Just put your mouse down and drag across those words, right click copy or press CTRL+C and you have instant tags without typing.

Thank you for saying so. I try to be observant of what works on MyLot and what doesn't.

As far as using tags on your own discussion, my best advice would be, do it! And, you mentioned that you do. Without tags, the right ads won't show up on our discussion. If ads don's show up, then your discussion won't be monetized and you may not get your share. That's my theory. I know there are lots of other ways to see the whole tag issue.

But, for me, I always tag my own discussions. Sometimes my tags are short and sometimes they are long. I'm always experimenting.


As far as tagging other people's discussions, after you respond, that's another issue.

I just always thought we got extra for doing so. Then last night, I posted ten responses (on other people's discussions) and didn't tag any of them.

I had ten minutes before midnight, so I skipped it. And, I didn't notice any drop in earnings this morning when I checked. Actually earnings were better than usual. At this point I think the only person that benefits from tags is the person that posted the discussion and MyLot.

If you really must tag other people's discussions (after you post a response) then try this little trick.

Type out a set of generic keywords onto Notepad. And then copy/paste them into your clipboard memory. Simply highlight the area, copy/paste.

And, each time the tag box comes up, right click paste or click CTRL V, and the same set of tags will appear for all discussions.

Some really good generic tags are:

posting on MyLot
chatting online with friends
being well
staying healthy
having friends

If you're posting to a lot of cooking discussions, then you could write out a set of cooking related keywords ahead of time, like

cooking tips
cooking tips online
free recipes
I love to cook


You could apply that same idea to discussions on beauty, health etc. Hope that tip helps. It works for me, cause I respond to all types of discusson on one theme. For instance, I do all the beauty and health discussions first and then move on to TV and movie discussions. I try not to randomly post responses.
