Due to the harm that it is doing to the ozone layer, Albuterol will be gone by next year. This is the only rescue inhaler I have ever used. It also seems to be the one that is most prescribe by doctors for Asthma patients. I agree with the fact that it needs to go. I just hope that they are able to come up with something comparable to it. Do you use Albuteral as your rescue inhaler?

Actually, it's the propellant in the inhalers that are being phased out and it's been happening for the last several years. They already have an alternative that's only slightly more expensive. I'm not sure what other inhalers are already out there that are environmentally friendly, but I'll find out soon when I get my refills. I hardly use any asthma medicines anymore, but I still need one from time to time when I get exposed to things like perfume, animal dander, and smoke.

Sounds like you've got your Asthma under control. Mine has actually gotten worse in the last three years. I thought it would get better by moving close to the beach, but that only made it worse. Before I moved here, I did not know that cold weather made Asthma worse.
Altohugh, I was born with Asthma, I never had any problems until my early thirties. I had assumed that I had been misdiagnosed.

I was diagnosed very young. I still have my triggers, but it doesn't affect my life like it used to. The only problem I have is that I am uninsured and I hate to see doctors.
