2. Carolyn63 (710) | 2 years ago | Nothing like a snake for a surprise. A few years ago I was sitting at my computer and noticed one of my cats pawing madly behind a dresser. I got up to see what was going on and there between the wall and dresser was a snake. I couldn't tell what it was but knew we had seen rattlesnakes in the yard as well as rat snakes. I yelled for the husband to grab up the cats and put them in the bedroom. He said why and I said snake. He does not like snakes!!! He pulled the dresser forward and the snake fell down and went into the closet that was open just a crack. Now this was the junk closet! He goes and grabs a shovel and starts shoveling things out of the closet. Now, this is 10 at night. At this point I knew it wasn't a rattler because it didn't rattle and I saw no buttons. But he is still in an major uproar over it. He finally pinned it down in the corner and killed it. It was a rat snake. I felt bad for the snake but I couldn't help giggle at my husband and the room in complete disarray. I still haven't a clue how it got in. Fortunately, knock on wood, we haven't had anymore inside the house. I can't imagine what he would have done if he had opened the mail box and found one!

Carolyn63 (710) | 1 year ago | Oh dear. Now, I'm the one not real fond of spiders. The big ones in the garden, no problem. Those big brown wolf spiders, ick! They can move so fast! And did you know that those little tiny jumping spiders can leave a nasty bite? A friend got bit once. Not pretty at all. If they stay outside I'll leave them alone. If they come inside, that's a no no. I'd rather have the snake.
