I did for a short time, then my computer started hanging up and doing odd things (I don't remember what exactly). I uninstalled it and everything has been fine since. I personally don't think the minor benefits outweigh the risk of potential problems.

There was as discussion about this recently that it has a trojan virus. So I tried to download it and my Avast confirmed it. It never did finish downloading. There are actually legitimate programs that are reported by anti-virus programs as containing malwares. Until myLot sorted this out to common anti-virus companies I can't use mylot toolbar.

Nah I'm sure your AV would detect it too(2 AV reported it does). Definitely myLot has good intentions for providing us this tool but probably its methods are similar to that of a trojan. This is the reason why I wrote that myLot should ask or apply for an exception with common AV programs. Thanks too tdemex.

Wow thanks, I'm glad I asked, with my luck my anti virius wouldn't have caught it and I'd be in a fix! LOL I was going to try it figuring I could delete it if I didn't like it. Thanks Agian tdemex

No i don't use the toolbar. I have had problems with other toolbars in the past and have just perferred not to use them. I just came back to using the firefox instead of explorer and right now it works fine. But i know that it will not last long. But it's up to you if you want to use it or not.

I'm glad you asked that question. Now it is making me wonder if my tool bars are causing issues. I didn't know mylot had a tool bar but it doesn't surprise me every site has a tool bar. lol

Do you know I run my system with no anti virus? I just had my computer in because according to the shop it's "old" and the hard drive is dying, well they were insisting first a virus, but I knew better than that. So they scanned it and of course no virus. I don't know why I took it in, well yeah I do, I needed someone to be able to boot it up so I could get my files off of it. I'm glad I don't have to work to get tech support!
