I like this kind of bird. I've had one since I was little. We had for 12 years before some things happened and now some one else has got her. But as far as I know she is still doing ok. But now we have another bird. He is a Cockatiel and chirps a lot. The other one we had was a girl. She did't chirp so much she was laid back. This one like's to be around people. SO do yall have a bird? If so what kind?

Aw, your cockatiel looks like one that I had when I was younger.
My family and I currently have a parakeet. He's pretty quiet, except for the mornings.
We've had him for the past year and a half.

That's a nice color on that type of bird. Yeah I think a cockatiel and even a parakeet is a nice family bird to have.

I have a cockatiel, classic grey, he loves to be scratched on his head and face , he sings chirps and shrieks throughout the day. If we don't give him enough attention he will give a high pitched shriek that I swear could destroy eardrums, there is another cockatiel in a home in the the same area where I live, I don't know where but sometimes in summer I put his cage outside in the morning or open the window so that he can get some fresh air and cool down and the 'talking' starts they get really noisy, but he looks so happy afterwards. His biggest fear is turtle doves, he is really scared of them unless one of the family is with him, he panics, but if someone is with him then he fears nothing. A friend brought a little pup when visiting, what was funny is that they scared each other, even when the dog was fully grown and several times bigger then him the dog was still scared, but with us as his guardians my cockatiel would strut and stare at the dog as if showing who is boss. Hilarious.

I have a cockatiel named Timmy, and I've had him for about 3 or 4 years now. He is quite the talker and chirper. He even sings ringtones from my cellphone. He gets along with my cat really well. Sometimes I let him out of his cage overnight, and when I wake up in the morning, he is perched on my headboard.
