Which Would You Prefer in Your Houses: A Guard Dog or an Electronic Alarm?

I myself am confused on the idea though we own three dogs at home. There are advantage and disadvantages in using either of the two, right? Maybe dogs are quite expensive plus the recurring expenses for their food and care but they're so adorable and loving! Your patience might be sometimes cut short by these pets, still I would never give them up! House alarms on the other hand, well actually, I only have seen them in sci-fi movies...just a very slight idea about them.
Anybody can share his/her views on the topic? Thanks.

I prefer Dogs much more than an electric alarm:)
I think they're much protective when it comes to protecting their owner or the house of their owner. And they're adorable too;)
Am just love them so much, but poor me, we Muslim can't have dogs;(
Anyway, If i were you, i'll probably trust more on dogs;)
