The Church of Obama

If the devotion to Obama is not a religious movement then I do not know what it could be. This new religion has a Messiah(Obama), has Apostles(Oprah and Michelle) and fellower(The Obamoronics). According to the New York Times, Obama's volunteers are taught to stay away from discussions of the issues and instead "testify" about how they "Came to Obama." Oprah simply calls him "The One," because "we need politicians who know how to be the truth." (Jesus says in John 14:6 "I am the way, the truth") Oprah goes on to say Obama will help us "evolve to a higher plane," which would put Obama in the role of our Intelligent Designer. Michelle insists her husband has redeemed the entire nation. She proclaims her husband is the sort of leader who will fix our broken souls. "The change Barack is talking about is hard," she insists, "so don't get too excited, because Barack is going to demand that you, too, be different." The Gospel according to Obama himself, in January told Dartmouth students that they will know to vote for him because a light will shine through that window, a beam of light will come down upon you, you will experience an epiphany, and you will suddenly realize that you must go to the polls and vote for Barack." Obama proclaim "I am absolutely certain that generations from now, we will be able to look back and tell our children that this was the moment when we began to provide care for the sick and good jobs for the jobless. This was the moment when the rise of the oceans began to slow and our planet began to heal. This was the moment and this was the time when we came together to remake this great nation"

And if you are really lucky, your leg will tingle just by being in his presence.... and if you are one of the chosen few you will swoon when he speaks.
Obama has redeemed an entire nation?
How is this possible... for he has not yet been crucified and resurrected?
We should see to this at once, for if he is indeed the holy one, then he must pass through the fire and show that he is even stronger than the grave.
How else will the true believers know him as the redeemer of a nation?
What is to be the language of this newly redeemed nation... Arabic, Afrikaans, English, or Ebonics?
Is there to be a duck in every pond, a pig in every poke, and government minder in every village?
When the light of Obama shines on every man, woman, and child, will we even notice?... or will that be the last thing we see before losing our heads in furtherance of THE CAUSE?
Or, will it be as what most likely will be the case... just the same old stuff with Obama in the White House attending to the same business as every other president before him, and the rhetoric of change was just more empty political talk?

Demand that you, too, be different? Are these really Michelle Obama's words? Demand??? The only thing her husband can demand of me is a very obstenate and unusually hard time if he come up with anything like "demand"!

He will have the silly white folks who voted for him licking the floors clean. That will be whitey's job. Michelle will demand it. We will have to pay for our ancestor's sins.
