| Have you ever used an inflatable raft? | | | | We used one for the first time today. It said it's made for four people, but the three of us barely fit. Maybe two adults and two children could fit, but they'd all have to be very small. I learned how to row the boat. I'd never tried before and it's not as easy as you'd think! I kept taking us in circles..lol. It was fun though. We will just go out two at a time from now on so that it's more comfortable. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | |

| | Thanks for the warning! LOL We just bought one. We just moved to a house on a lake last year where everyone has a boat. I see them struggling to get them into and out of the water, and putting them away each winter, so I wanted something, umm... portable. I got a "4-seater". I've been in one built for 2 before and it was hysterical! If you're in it with another person, you practically have to squish yourselves into one person to fit. Here it is usually just my husband and myself. Occasionally, though, one of my sons or friends come over. As I haven't used the boat yet, it's good to know that I shouldn't even TRY to put more than 2 people in it at a time. And now that I've read your post, it has put me in the mood to try out our new toy. I might have to wait until it cools down some, because it's supposed to be near 100 deg. tomorrow with high humidity, and also for the next 2 days, then cool WAY down to 90. I may try it then. Thanks, and happy sailing... I mean rowing! I'll let you know if I can figure out how to go straight and not in circles. (I'll probably do the same as you, though.) Take care. | | | | | | | sunnflr (907)

| | I hope you enjoy your new toy. Even though we were cramped we still had fun. We all sat with our legs bent up at first. Then, my hubby got too cramped being that he's six feet tall, so he turned sideways and put his legs on the side. Not the safest thing in the world but we had our vest on, and he swims like a fish. Plus the lake was very small, you can see land for every spot. Anyway, that's why I rowed back, cause he was sitting funny. I did finally get us back, but it took a while when I'd go in a circle ever few feet..lol. | | | | mentalward (6157)

| | That would've been a really funny aerial shot! LOL But think where you might have ended up if your hubby was rowing from his sideways position! | | | | sunnflr (907)
