I don't know what to think about this story..
Do you get upset at the seven year old child or the daycare teacher who obviously wasn't paying attention..
If this seven year old child really did what is being said, then I agree the child needs help & lots of love as well.
Something is not right with this picture..
I believe the daycare teacher should be held responsible for what has happened. She should of NEVER left any of the children unattended.
My opinion is, if you can't keep up with the amount of kids you are watching, then don't put yourself in that situation…
I use to work in childcare & I would have up to ten kids, sometimes more in my class & my eyes were all over… plus I also had an aid if things got to overwhelming for me or if I went over the limit in numbers...
Childcare Centers are suppose to have at least two teachers if over a certain limit of kids.. I know the lady in the story was alone in her own private daycare with six children & I'm guessing they were all different ages..
I know in all the daycares I have worked at, you are not suppose to mix the age groups for a reason, maybe so things like this don't happen..?
You are also not suppose to be alone with 6 kids…
I don't know, but the rules with home/private daycares should change..
Anyway, read the story & share your opinions...

Well, your right in that if you can't keep an eye on all the kids then you obviously have too many kids to watch. That being said, kids will have accidents. I think in this case though the blame clearly lands on the daycare providers shoulders. If your going to have a baby in the daycare you have to be extra attentive to them b/c they are much more fragile then say a 7-year-old.

Well this is very troubeling indeed, this seven year old that did this, really needs to be in anger management classes. He is way to young to be acting out in this kind of way. And this daycare & the teacher are both negligent, the teacher was not watching the children close enough, or it would not have happened. The day care itself should have more workers. They should be closed down.
