Here are 8 alternatives to your SUV. They take less gas.
Funny-looking Scion, Mini-cooper Clubman, Toyota Matrix, Kia Rondo, Ford Escape Hybrid, the Saturn Vue green line, the Mazda 5, and the Subaru Forester. Check out the pics and the prices.

Hubby has a SUV that he wanted to trade in for a small pick-up but no can do. The payments would be higher than the gas to put in the SUV. He's letting it go instead. Let the bank take it back and then buy a decent used pick-up with the cash he's saving from not making the payments.

Hmm. I wonder why they didn't list the mini SUVs? The Honda CRV has a lot of room like an SUV but gets 27 HWY and 22 city; price starts at $20K and it is not quite as ugly as the cars in the article.

I have a Matrix, and I can usually get 34 miles to the gallon, which is a little bit better than what they say you can get. My husband just bought me a new Rav 4, and he's using the Matrix to drive to work. The Rav 4 won't get as good mileage as the Matrix, but it's got more room and it rides smoother. I love both of the cars.
