They are making a movie on the Best Selling book Twilight from stephanie meyer which is slated to come out on 12-12-08!!
So far they have a trailer for it that isn't that great but I have read this book and it's a terrific book. This is the first book in a series of 4 which was supposed to be originally only 3. LOL!!!! But my biggest worry about this movie is that it will not do the book justice. The readers are going to expect alot of these actors and since they are all not well known I'm kinda worried if they will be able to live up to the standards of the charactersin the booko and what the readers expect.
Have you ever read a book and compared it to the movie?
did it live up to your standards?

I haven't read the book bella but I have often preferred a book to the movie based on it! Even Niamhat 6 while she loves the film The Wizard of Oz she read the book a few weeks back and loved being able to see it in her mind than being shown it on the screen! Good to see you - I've missed you lately! xxxx

I have missed you to. I have needed a vacation from everything .. I went on a mental shut down I think LOL!!! So now I'm back and hopefully I won't have another one. LOL!!

Howdy BELLA! I have never seen a movie live up to the book. Its nearly impossible. There have been some good tries and that is about the best one can hope for. When you watch a movie based on a book, you have to put the book out of your mind and try to enjoy the movie on its own merit.

That is true. But I don't think that I could ever put the book out of my mind. But I will say that I have compared some books to the movie counter parts and they pulled it off very well with what they had to work with time wise. LOL!!! I guess it all has to deal with how they interpret the book. LOL!! have a nice one.

OMG, i heard about this movie on MTV last week. i really want to see this movie. i think what i am going to do first though is get the books. it sounds and looks very familiar to me. i am going to go through my books and see if i have it

Did you have the book. If not I know it can be downloaded online by bit torrent it is the first book out of the four. LOL!! So far this book is my favorite. I'm hoping that it lives up to the book.

I would be pretty leary about that. Most books are way better than movies or TV shows. The Women's Murder Club TV show is a great example of that. The books are great, TV show is horrible.

The actually have a book called the women's murder club. LOL!! I'm so not up to date with tv. I'm waiting for burn notice and life to come back on right now I'm watching hell's kitchen. LOL!!!

books vs movies.. interview with the vampire and queen of the damned were awesome books.. themovies however.. pretty much suxxored in comparison. they changed key parts and issues and made the entire storyline not make any sense at all, i was highly disapointed

yep sometimes movies can make a mess of the book and I think that is what I'm worried about them making a mess of the book that I have enjoyed so much. LOL!!!
