when i saw the new air come out all i could think was, wo that is one cool laptop. then only problem is, im a music phenatic. i have about 14gig of music and i download new songs every day. what is the caoabilities for memory for this laptop? does it hold alot of info and does it run just as well as the other apple computers that have been released. my biggest worry is that it wont be fast enough to run multiple complicated applications at one time!!!!

14 gigs of music isn't that much. You customize it, and I think the minimum memory on the computer is 2gigs of ram. It will be fast enough. Its size has nothing to do with it. I have 85 or so gigs of music on my computer, and with 2 gigs of ram its perfectly fine. I can also run photoshop, itunes, dreamweaver, flash, and after effects all without problems. And Macs also manage memory better than every other computer.

Anyways, The air is still good, but the regular macbook is better in my opinion.

im sorry but i don't think you want that laptop.
First off, its a Mac. Automatic no-no for those of us who want to be productive.
I'm not trying to insult anyone, but i have never personally had (or known anyone who's had) a good experience on a Mac. I can't stand Apple with their ads saying that windows freezes up and crashes.
I've had 6 windows operating computers over the years, and never had a single one crash on me or freeze up to the point of having to reboot. It may last a minute or less on an old computer, but decent ones never freeze up.
As for macs, i've had 3, two of which i had to send back when i got them because they wouldn't boot up. The only one that worked okay worked for a few days untill I plugged my Casio digital camera into it and it froze on me. I tried looking on the apple site and they couldn't help me. They just kept saying I must have messed up the computer myself. Wow, great customer service, blame it on the customer.

So bottom line you just don't want it, because mac's arent reliable.

Also Macbook Air has had horrible reviews since day one. Even the normal things that are supposed to work they way they are are just useless.
No CD/DVD drive? Come on, so you can't watch movies off a DVD unless you pay an extra 50 bucks for an external drive?
I knew a guy who bought one and accidently closed the screen too hard and it made a crack in the top left corner of the screen. Now THAT is unreliable and just stupid that it is so thin and light that it could break itself.

I'm not a MacHater, i dont hate mac fanboys, i just see macs as very useless machines because of all the problems everyone has with them.
