Who just got engaged?

Congratulations! I had an awful proposal. We had talked about it beforehand, I told him what kind of ring I wanted, he told me how he wanted to do it. None of it happened. He got the exact wrong ring, he was the most unromantic thing, he didn't even say, "Will you marry me", he just held out the ring box. Blech. No planning whatsoever.

Recently I got Engaged on 19th April 2008. Actually We call it "Nikah", It is arranged Marriage, my mother chose her for me and I said ok.

Congratulations! I guess everything is going great for you and you seem to have the perfect man who is very sensitive and caring. I can't propose to anyone anytime soon because I'm already taken. I guess you could say I have a previous engagement.

Congratulations on your engagement! I am not newly engaged - I got married almost 7 years ago, but I still remember how my husband did it! He was so nervous - it was very cute - and he had picked me up from the airport after a winter break trip of traveling to Australia. And I didn't even enjoy it because I was so love sick for my husband - I missed him so much! Now I wish I would have enjoyed myself :-)... but anyway back to the story - he picked me up and took me to the beach and we were talking and just enjoying each other and he asked me if I loved him and I said of course I did, and he pulled out the ring and said "this much"? And I of course was so excited & said YES!!

last week,my uncle got engaged to my would-be aunt. they both work in the same office. my uncle had told all his friends that he will spill a surprise and wanted their help. they co-operated and when the girl came to the office,all of them hid under one big desk.the watchman made a face and told that madam,today is a holiday. the girl felt jittery. suddenly all came around her and greeted her. last of all,my uncle came and placed the ring on my aunt's finger. i think that was a really novel way.
