What do you think will help stop drinking and driving.

.As a person who has drank and drove I have some ideas about this issue.For me I told myself before I would drink "don't drive,don't forget you know you can't " I tried that until it didn't work,then I tried making sure someone had my keys,when that didn't work I found quitting drinking for me was the only way I would stop.I knew when I was sober that it was dangerous and yet after I would get drinking all common sense went out the window.I am thankful I didn't hurt myself or others those few times I did it.I think that is the problem with drinking and driving once under the influence people think they can do anything.Inhibition goes to the wind.I am speaking of the people who have an issue with alcohol in general.I know social drinkers and the ones I know are responsible.I knew I was not so I did quit drinking because of the driving,and the fact that I would get so smashed and have a whopper of a hangover.
My thoughts on what can stop this problem is this.Many drinkers will not quit drinking for any reason.So these people are likely to continue drinking and driving.I have heard of this thing that locks on your steering wheel you have to blow in it to unlock it.It won't unlock if you have been drinking.Why not make a similar device that is installed in all cars ?what the hell if you aren't drinking and driving would you really care about this device?I don't know if this is something that is possible or not but it is a thought.

Drunk and Drive is basically a affence..
Its a against the law. those who are drive after drink are needs to be punished under the law very seriously..
Because if they drive after drink, this will cause the result in the Accident, in this accident the person who drive the car alone will no get affected, along with him, the people those who came infront of him will also get it affected.
This is equallent to the murder.. They need to be put it in hang, under the court of law..
To avoid such things, our law needs to be further tighterned.. if any one found to drink and drive they can be shoot on the spot.
If the law will be like this.. then only the people have some fear about that, and stop doing this future..
Yes, i agree taht, drinking is there personnal nature, but after drinking they should be calmly at their home, they should drive on the road, if it will happend, this cause accident only..

Well I don't know where you come from but shooting someone on the spot is not a humane thing to do here.I would totally disagree with this idea.I think we can come up with a more civilized way of dealing with this.

Actually i will try to tell that the law should be very tight like that.. shooting order, which i have mentioned is for example, like that law needs to be tightened.. then only the people used to stop duing the same again and again. and the people from the high society are more doing this type of non-sense, low class and middle class have some fear in their mind, so they will take some caution in their mind..
If you need to control the high class people, the law should be very much tightened.. unless other wise you cannot control them.
