Any MyLotters here that have successful ebay businesses?

I am selling (or trying to sell) alot of mine & my mothers unwanted posessions on ebay & so far have only sold a couple of handfuls of things. Does anyone have any hints & tips on selling everything successfully? I am selling tapes, books, shoes, clothes & wll be selling my crocheted & knitted goods as I finish them. Thank you in advance for your ideas & suggestions.
