gas prices

No, I do not think gas prices will go down because of Obama. I think they will continue to rise. They may go down a couple of cents at a time here and there but as long as the public pays the price--the increases will continue. We need more refineries in the US, and until more are built we will continue to buy oil from overseas. That is the problem.

I think that like all politions in the running they all make a lot of promises that they have no intentions of keeping. I feel that the gas prices will continue to be raised until someone from our government actually steps in & puts a stop to it. truth is i don't see that happening anytime soon.

Hahaha, I don't see it going down, lol. The president doesn't have that power anyway. What may happen is that it hovers around whatever level it will be at around January, probably $5, which is currently viewed as the magical barrier anyway, lol. It all depends on what political decisions he will make, how he will stabilize the economy, and the dollar. Bush has made some bad political decisions which resulted in high oil prices. At the same time he doesn't really push for alternatives. He is from Texas. Isn't that our oil state...?

Anyhow, if they would finally investigate those oil companies for overinflating the prices.... that would help.

i think that they will contuine to go up as i feel that it may be because of the political unrest between the two countries which is why they rise so fast...
but the main reason why they are rising in the first place is because that there is not enough oil in the first place...
and if there is no political unrest, there will still be rishing prices, but it will not be so rapid...
