The government is 'raking it in' while the motorist is left to foot the bill. They are happy to take their immoral expenses out of the taxes that they burden us with.
What should Mr Average do to make a statment of objection to this, or should the masses just take this abuse.???????

I think the average driver needs to find ways to stop needing the use of a personal car.
Carpool with others, and split the gas money (each person in the carpool might pay a certain amount a month to the car owner), or take public transportation, or walk or bike, if it's close enough. I take the bus evrywhere I go.
If gas isn't selling the way it should be, maybe they'll get the message. No one needs to "take abuse."

some people could do some of the things suggested, but others could not!!!! Some people would like to have the freedom to choose after all we are supposed to be living in a democracy. I know that supply and demand can dictate the price but we are getting taxed out of exsistance by the government.

With the use of words in your post would i be right in thinking that you are in the uk and talking about the uk government?
I whole heartedly agree with you about this the government is taking way too much tax on the fuel and then blaming the oil companies, instead of them slashing fuel tax they let it carry on and do nothing because if they did that they would loose a hell of alot of money and then they would have to make cuts else where which would probably come in the form of nhs cuts etc, what i really don't understand is why this government of ours is so intent on sending money overseas for things that don't involve us and we are even paying money for foreigners kids who are not living in this country.
Our economic problems would be alot less bad if our government would get it's act together and get a backbone then for once think about this country first and foremost but with labour in power that is not likely to happen, we are in for more of a rought time yet though i fear especially with this EU treaty we are heading for a damn sight more problems and the uk is going to become europes dumping ground hell we're virtually that already thanks to labour.
There are some truly bad times ahead it's just a shame the british people will not stand together and revolt against it all the biggest and best power the british people have is unity but we couldn't do that if our lives depended on it we are too divided.
What a shame, a once great country thrown to the dogs and a laughing stock of the world.
