You're right. Success is different from a person's point of view as to another. I think that success generally means reaching happiness and contentment in a certain aspect of one's life.
It varies though, to some success is being married and have kids. To some it may be holding the highest position in their company. To some it may be to make a certain thing happen.

There were successes which could have been considered enough but I was never satisfied, I needed more. One success only became a failure to achieve better or higher goals.
