They say that the moon has an effect on our behavior depending on it's location in relation with earth. It sort of like a magnet varying our mood.

The moon has no direct affect on peoples moods. However, noticing the moon does.

A lot of wars and battles take place under a full moon. However, that has to do with lighting conditions. I suspect that lots of men propose under a full moon or couples enjoy romantic evenings. However, that is a result of the romantic notions which societies and cultures have given a full moon. Lost sailors likely feel better under a full moon - due to it's use in navigation, time keeping, or tidal forecasting. Being out during a full moon often increase the chance of predators - wolves, bears, etc. -- seeing you.

However, there is no proof that the presence of the moon affect folks directly. There is no measurable increase in crime, accidents, etc. Other than the extra light might cause more people to notice criminal activities. The moons only effect on people would be light and gravity. Either is strong enough to affect us in any direct way.

I do believe the moon affects our mood and behaviors. I used to work in a nursing home and it never failed, if the moon was full, we had really agitated residents. People always remark about behavior changes during the full moon and I really believe it's true.
