What are your biggest worries about the future?
Sometimes when I think of the future, it seems like a big gray empty space. Of course, there's all the potential and promise of new beginnings. But, it's really uncertain.
Mostly, I'm concerned that we'll run out of money and not be able to pay rent, in a money emergency. And, then my family would be homeless. Or, our car will break down and we won't have the money to replace it.
As a mom, I"m worried that my daughter won't be interested in education and won't learn to read. She's still young, so there's time. And, we work at it daily. But, it's going very slowly.
What worries you most about the future? Are you worried that your family won't have enough money for bills and expenses? Are you concerned for your children's welfare? Please share.

I worry about my parents all though they are divorced and my dad remarried. They both have diabeties and I worry about them not eating right and getting sick from it. I also worry about myself having ms. In the future it will get worser. Although I am exersing to not end up getting in a wheel chair as much as I can. I also worry about my sister and her husband and there two kids. My newphew is two and he still talks baby talk. There are times when he says the right words. I just hope he learns to talk right pretty soon.

Thanks for this idea maybe for his birthday I will find him one. I think he does it to get attention because he has actully told me. When I asked why do you talk this way? he told me plain as he could. I just can't talk right yet. So I think it might be his way to get attention since he's the baby. Now his sister she was talking at 9 months old. She was even saying my name Shaunee. Her momma or my sister couldn't say my name right untill after she was 3. So I guess kids are all different.

You're so right about that! All children are so unique and different. He sounds like a little sweetheart. My daughter's doctors had pretty much written her off as having learning disabilities. But, I told them they were crazy. She is a perfectly normal child and so bright and intelligent. She runs the house! Well sort of. Mama still has the last word on the important stuff. I'm so happy that you can be so involved with your family. I don't live close to any of my relatives, so it's just me and my S/O and my daughter. And, my online friends, of course! Be well. And, best wishes to your family.

Hey you! I am happy that you are sharing your life with your online friends. A burden is so much lighter, when there are many shoulders to bear the load.
As far as your nephew goes, don't worry. If his doctor doesn't say there is a problem with his ears, then he will most likely be ok. My little girl was the same way at two years old. I thought all kids were! Modern parents have VERY high expectations of kids, but they are just little kids. And, I know you're the aunt, so you're definitely worried. That's cool!
My little girl didn't start talking "normal" until she was three years old.
We got her some Reader Rabbit learning CD-Roms and some Elmo cd-roms for the computer and she began to speak clealy within two months. She has her own computer now. She's a real smart kid. Maybe that will help your nephew. You can find the reader rabbit and elmos cd-roms very affordably on Amazon online. Best of luck. Be well!

The thing I am afraid of the most, when thinking about the future, is that I will be able to retire when my time comes, age wise. I am 51 years old and just left my husband and living in a new city and cleaning houses for a living. But I don't want to clean houses forever since it is hard work and as I am getting older it is becoming harder to do. So I am afraid that I will be stuck doing this till the day I die because I don't have any money saved so how am I going to be able to retire one day. I am thinking now that maybe I need to go back to school for something but I don't know for what. Something that would be easier on my body to do, when I get older and something that I make more money that I can start saving for my retirement.

I think that my biggest worries about the future are that I will not sort myself out and grab the things that I want to out of life. I feel that I am at the time in my life now where I need to do something positive for me, find a direction that I want to go in and take it. I do not want to have to rely on my hubby to bring all the money in.
But neither do I want to end up doing a job that I do not want to do. I have been blessed that my hubby is 1) a hard worker and 2) has a very good paid job that has allowed me to stay at home and look after the children. But I do not want this to be the way of the rest of my life, I want to be successful and help boost our finances in my own right. I just need to decide how to do it.
Although I do worry about money, jobs and everything else, I am not too concerned we only have our mortgage as debt and it is only a small mortgage and not a full one so we would be able to manage for a while should things go wrong.

I feel the same way about my own life. I don't want him to think that I'm not grateful that his job and income allows me to be home with our daughter. But, accomplishment is a big thing for me. I'm a writer, so my journey will take me in that direction, most likely. Be well. Hopefully you'll be able to grab those dreams and make them come true. Best of luck.

I always think that if I can't raise myself how I can raise a child! so we would work hard to earn more money even though we sometimes don't want to work.Because we are people we have to face all of these!

Money is the #1 thing that I worry about along with health close behind. I think everyone worries about money, it's only natural and especially when money no longer goes as far as it used to.
