Police blocked my street  |

 On Saturday I went to a Baptism party at my neighbor's. She invited family, close friends and neighbors to the party. It was very nice and after eating and dancing I decided to go home at 10:30pm.
At about 11:30pm I heard a knock at my door. I got up and looked out the window but did not see anyone so I went back to bed. At about 11:40pm my daughter calls me on the phone and informs me that she can't get home because the police have the street blocked. I then open the front door and there are 3 police cars in front of my house and the street is blocked.
I walk to the front yard and my neighbor tells me that 8 young men walked to the party when everyone was leaving and started a fight. These young men stabbed 2 young men that were at the party. One was taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital and the other one was taken to a hospital in a different city. The police stayed till 5:00 am investigating the crime.
It still doesn't make sense why these men would come and stab 2 young men that do not reside in this town. They are from a city that is 60 miles away and know no one in this town. They are family men, not involved in gangs nor in criminal activities. The police are continuing their investigation and they are sure they will be able to catch the suspects as they apparently live in this town.

1.  nelly5 (706) | 2 years ago |  That is so terrible. It amazes me to hear what some people will do just for the thrill of it and that is what this situation sounds like. It sounds like these people were on a mission to cause some trouble. Are you in an area where there are gangs? Do you believe that the people who caused the fight are affiliated with gangs? Maybe these males who started the fight were on drugs. I just don't understand how people could do something like this. How sad! I will pray for both victims! Stay safe and have a great day.

| 3. mychattime (389) | 2 years ago |  That is terrible, I don't understand why anyone wants to hurt another person so much as to kill them especially if they have never done them any harm. There are some crazy people around and unfortunatley it seems you hear a lot about them but not of the good people around. That is an awful situation and so so sad. Lets hope they get caught soon.

When they finish their investigation you'll see this probably happened over something very stupid. What a shame, I feel so sorry for those poor guys.

| 5. whittby (2039) | 1 year ago |  Senseless violence really gets to you doesn't it. Maybe they will find out what the argument was about, doesn't make it right. Especially when it's in your own neighborhood has got to make you a little uncomfortable?
We just had a drive by shooting here that happened after a graduation party. I guess there was drinking and fighting at the graduation party and someone went and got a gun and did a drive by. I just hate hearing about this stuff.
