Jane Austen's Northanger Abbey

I think Jane Austen was a brilliant writer and proof of it are all her wonderful masterpieces especially Pride and Prejudice and Sense and Sensibility. I can't help thinking though, that Northanger Abbey is different and almost a horrible read. It is Isabella's character that I despise the most. She is a hypocrite and you just can't stand the way she talks and her role in the book. Her speeches are unbearable and meke the reader not only despise her but the main character as well. Did anyone feel this way about Isabella too? Did you like Northanger Abbey at all? Why do you suppose Jane Austen would wirte something like this, so different from our other most beloved stories??? I agree that the ending is actually nice, but I can't help disliking this novel.
