My friend is a single mom but she told me that she's very happy being a single mom. Is it really true? What about you? What can you say?

I have enjoyed raising my children thoroughly. I would have preferred to raise them with a father, but it didn't work out that way. I have had a wonderful time in spite of it. I would rather raise them as a single happy person, than to raise them being miserable in a bad relationship.

I am not a single parent but I can see it to some of my friends who are in there, some are contented and others are really having a hard time. It is not easy to be alone rearing kids if there are? well, It's good if only one? if more than one, is not an easy thing. I have no idea why your friend said, she is happy. lol..

I spent nine years being a single parent but with two of my children I have shared parenting with the ex-idiot opps I mean ex-husband. He of course made being a single parent difficult to say the least. Then I decided five years ago to have a child with some help of course, but not having any "fatherly involvement" with the child. I can tell you that being a single parent without the father involved was the best years of my life. I was finally able to just do what I wanted to do with the child. If he needed a hair cut I took him and had it done the way I wanted. It worked perfectly but, now I am remarried so I am no longer a single parent.
