Being a avid researcher i searched up about british airways and heard that they many people have actually lost their luggage when travelling on british airways. this worried me alot because i am travelling with a group and dont want to be delayed over lost luggage. is this true?

That is what I heard too. When I was studying my tourism management course, British Airways and their luggage handling was one of the topic that we all students and teacher have talked about.
There was a time that my classmates and I had to travel to Hungary for field trip. It was part of our course. The university had booked our flight withs British Airways. It was alright when we all arrive in Budapest, Hungary. Everyone got their bags and suitcases on the arrival. We all were happy.
But then on our way back to England, it was different.... We had to connect a flight in London and then fly to Birmingham. When we arrived at Birmingham airport, none of us got our luggages and suitcases back. You know what, the airlines staff said that they had left our luggages at Heathrow airport. That was what we were told.
Well, at least they knew where they had left our luggages. And then I was told that they would call me to inform me about my luggage and also I would get my luggage back before 5 o'clock that evening. Very nice of them, they had never called me and my bag never arrived at or after 6 pm that day.
So at 9 pm that night, I called British Airways at the airport and asked about my luggages because at that point, I started to get worried and also I need my medicines which was in that bag that they left at Heathrow airport. So I called them and asked them "I would like to know when will I get my luggage back?"....and it was very nice of them to give me a very nice and helpful answer and that was "you will get it when we deliver it to you." Very nice and very professional, isn't it!?!
I love them and still feel very thankful until today. At least, that incident teach me that "DO NOT fly with British Airways again" because they love losing your bags and to me they are not very nice and not very professional at all.
