I thought of the same thing as well when I read the title.hehe..I was in high school back then and it really influenced me a lot in my dream to be a writer.The main character in that novel was Jo and she was the 2nd among the four sisters.She was very talented and very brave and I wanted to be like her.I guess she was portrayed by Winona Ryder.You should watch the film too.I hope you will enjoy it.

You made excellant summary for the book.I have also read a short cut version myself,and for twice.Surely it is very interesting and touching.But I'm sorry that I can not made a good summary as you,just felt deep that it is very terrific.Your account makes me feel that I should just start reread it at once to feel more about it...And may I ask if you have tried the original too? Since sometimes when I find a real excellant book in short cut version,I can not help desiring to see the original one.I guess maybe there will be more fascinating things in the original,after all the short cut is a condensed one.Take Tale of two cities for example,I have read both the original and the short cut,although the short cut is good,the original one is just more exciting.Also there will be a whole chapter to relate sth while in the short cut it has to be reduced to only a page or two.

I feel it really a regret that till now I haven't heard of the movie.It must be quite worthwhile to see.Looking forward to seeing it asap!
