Avon Help |
|
Does anyone know how I can find clients to purchase Avon products? Or find anyone that is interested in making a little extra cash by becoming an Avon Rep?
I'm a very shy person and I really don't seem to meet a lot people. So if anyone is looking for a rep or becoming a rep and would like to help me out, it would be greatly appreciated. Maybe even offer me some pointers in getting better?
I look forward to hearing your ideas.
Thanks

| gigglez79 (61) | 2 years ago | Nixxi, Thank you so much, I love the idea with frequent buyers. I do have a repeat customers that's always spending. I just now printed out Avon Buxs to insert into fliers to see if that would help. And I do my ordering online because I have the 2 extra days to obtain sales. I will get hoping to doing the frequent buyer card. Thanks again for your advice.
Cheers, Giggles

| MommaBast (70) | 1 year ago | Nixxi, did you ever have anyone complain? I'm always afraid that someone is going to complain that I'm leaving them junk mail. I'm also afraid of going door-to-door simply because I don't want to disturb people. Darn shyness!
I love the idea for a drawing, but unfortunately, the area I live in requires that you have a raffle license to do that.:(

nixxi76 (925) | 1 year ago | I think the only experience I've had when it came to someone calling me after I dropped off a broucher in there mail box was when they called to tell me that they already had a sale's representative for Avon and asked me nicely not to drop another one off and if I needed my booklet back I could come by and pick it up... I didn't make any money on that street so I never returned. I also attended a woman's fitness workout center and used my so-called advertising skills around there one day so I finally got a call from a lady who wanted to put in an order but she wanted me to leave her a booklet there for her and just drop it off with the staff that worked at that time. The next day I brought a booklet with me and left it behind the counter for her. It somehow ended up by the lounging area and apparently another woman was selling Avon there as well and "She" called me and pretty much told me not to leave another booklet there and I found her to be quite rude about it. It's not like I would step on her shoes about it. About the draws, I wouldn't worry about it because what I use to do is only offer that to my regular customers and I'm sure they wouldn't say anything. If you're positively not sure about it maybe ask your regular customers what they would think about it if you did a draw? It's harmless. As for dropping off booklets in mail boxes, go out during the day when people are at work so they are not home. You'll be suprised how many calls you get. If no one calls you, then you know not to go back there for a long time. I would try again though because then people will see that you are for real and not a scam Have a great day!

You can leave them in the paper boxes, but you can throw them in drive ways in the whats new plastic bags or hang them on door knobs. I like to throw a few brochures in a campaign. Leave them eveywhere you go and wait.

| gigglez79 (61) | 1 year ago | I've actually found out about not being able to put things in the mail box due to privacy issues. So I follow your steps in putting it in the "what's new" bags. I even put in a few samples as well. And that has worked for me so far.
I just recently moved to an almost all resident neighborhood and I actually searched to see if there was an Avon Rep in the area I was in to make sure I don't "Step On Her Shoes". Turns out, there isn't one in the area, and I picked up a few new customers because they always wanted to buy Avon but had to drive ways to order it. And some didn't like to place orders online.
As far as gifts, I make labels for the books saying "free gift with $20 purchase" and usually I put in a hand sanitizer or lotion as their gift.
I do a gift bundle raffle for my Avon customers. All they need to do is buy a minimum of $15 dollars of their favorite Avon products to receive an entry. This has boost my sales up as well. And if they refer a customer and they purchase products, they can either receive another entry or a free gift for their referral.
I just wanted to thank everyone that has given me ideas and tips to help me on my Avon business. For all the help I've received here, I'm not as shy as I used to be and I'm making a lot of new friends as well as customers. So thanks again and good luck to all new Avon Reps.

| 2. MommaBast (70) | 1 year ago | I just started selling Avon, so I don't have a lot of customers yet. I hit up my friends and asked them to casually leave a brochure at their work, so long as it wouldn't get them in trouble.
I've also been leaving one at my doctor's waiting room and the chiropractor's waiting room. No calls yet, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
One thing I'm hoping to start soon is a Referral program. What I want to do is something like "Refer a friend to me, and get 10% of their first order in a coupon for your next order!". I'm not sure I want to use 5% or 10%, but I figured it might help get people to talk their friends into buying from me as well.
I'm also a fairly shy person, and one of the reasons I joined Avon was to try and break out of the shyness. No luck so far LOL.
You can also print out flyers and post them at the grocery stores. I've been posting them just where I shop, but again, I've not seen any new people from this, so I can't tell if it works or not.
Hope some of these ideas help.

| gigglez79 (61) | 1 year ago | LOL, You're actually like me.. I joined Avon to see if I can break out of my shyness as well. I've actually tried the fliers and referral club. So far no one bites. My boyfriend is a detailer, so when he goes into different locations, he always posts a flier and business card up on the bulletin board.
I wish you luck and thanks for the advise. -Giggles

| jrjrickert (22) | 1 year ago | I would suggest getting the whats new bags and putting your brochures in those. you could also go to the dollar store and find some clear mailing labels and round pens for cheap. put your info on the labels and roll onto the pen. so when you give out your brochure its in a bag(easy to carry) and putting a pen in there lets the customer write in the book! Good Luck!

| gigglez79 (61) | 1 year ago | I like that Idea with the pens, thanks; I will try that. Especially if they're like me and always losing a pen or there's never a pen in site. Thanks again for the tip!

| gigglez79 (61) | 1 year ago | Hi Sky, Thank you for the comment. I tell ya, I've always been a shy person my whole entire life. And since I've became an Avon Rep, it actually started to help me break out of that habit. I feel as though the more experience I get from learning and hearing about other people experiences, the more likely I can take over the world... well not literally, but you get the meaning. LOL
I've actually made some new friends in a way, and I didn't think I would because I'm a home-body and I never really go out. Since becoming a Rep, I'm out a little more now and whenever I see someone, I have the courage to say, "hello, how are you". And I can say I can hold a conversation for more than 5 minutes, and that's a big bonus for me.
Thanks again, Giggles

| 4. Jshinell (80) | 1 year ago | Asking family members, friends, and co-workers. I asked my friends I have three friends that I signed up and 2 family members. Two Of my friends have people signed up under then. So, yeah ask your friends and family members if they want to sign up or if they know people that would like to. I'm sure that you've already done that. If you are shy that's a good way to start ask people that you know personally.

| gigglez79 (61) | 1 year ago | Hi Jshine, thanks for the comment. I have tried to ask people if they were interested in joining my team; But no one seem interested. It's a lot harder to get my family involved since all my family lives out of state and I would need to be present to sign them up. But thanks, I will take any help I can get, so if you have any pointers, please send them my way. -Giggles

| Jshinell (80) | 1 year ago | Do you think one day it will be worth to take the tripe? Also talk with your District Manager see if he or she would like to take the trip out there with you. I think it will worth it as long as you are planning to stay with your Avon business. Have you talked with your Manager about this?
