Do cats and pregnancy go together?

I love my female cat, EB. When I was pregnant,
she acted like she was the one who was going to have the baby.
She would curl up on my lap and purr to the baby.
She was the best companion to have during pregnancy.

Of course, I never scooped her litter during that time,
because of the dangers of dirty cat litter and pregnancy.

At times, she even treats my child like her own. She's the
mom! Well, I'm the mom,but she thinks that she is.

Does your cat try to baby your children? Does she act like
a mom sometimes? Did you have a cat during pregnancy?
