do depressed not need medicare when they need it..why companies are scared of providing cover..even I think depression is not considered a cognizable ailment in most of the countries.

Leave is granted to depressed people. Once that leave is over and they go on SS or whatever it takes two years from that point before you can get medicare.

I think it cost alot ! A depressed person might have to go to the looney bin and the hospital stay is not cheap. Does your state have free insurance? I would check it oout if you are concerned about not being covered

In the United States there is Medicare, and also Social Security Disability Benefits for those who are severely clinically depressed. You have to go through a lot to prove the disability, but it is there.

I don't know about anyone else but our insurance through where my husband works does cover mental illness (depression or whatever). From psychiatry visits on up to stays in a psychiatric hospital.

Well for depression, medicines are not solution. Do Meditation, try breathing exercise, it will help you balance and handle depression.
