your high definition television/projector experiance's  

hi im currious to find out what you high deff experiances are
whever it be;
720p
1080i
1080p
or whatever!!
for those that do not know, 720p is the least best and 1080p is the best
so if you have just gone and baught a hdready tv it does not deffinately mean that it will show the best quality definition ((1080p)), thats the one to go for if you want the best!!
but still it does not matter which you have if at the end of the day you have no high definitiion source in the first place!!
now for a high deff source you will need one of the following'
either;1. a playstation 3 (pluged in with an hdmi lead)the best connection
2. an xbox 360 elite ((as the elite has a hdmi output)
as far as i know the normal 360 does not yet have one, just composite leads!! ( tell me if im wrong please)) they may habe changed it?
3.a freeview receiver box with (hdmi output) there not actually transmitting freeview in high deff tho so its not going to be great!!
4. sky tv hd receiver box (( too expensive for us at present))
5. a dvd/hdd recorder with hdmi upscaling(upgrades the picture but still not as good as the real thing))
6. freesat freeview (( limited hd channels but it will grow))
7. a pc/laptop with hd output!!
8. virgin cable tv high deff subscription ((carnt comment on this ))
i think ive listed all i know at present so feel free to correct me if ive missed one out?which do i have?
well just a laptop with hdmi output at the moment but seriously considering the freesat option as its just the cost of a sat dish and hd freeview receiver and much much cheaper than sky or virgin!!out plasma screen just goes up to the 1080i (interlaced) not 1080p (pixells) so im not bothered if whatever source i get does 1080p or not
so basicaly tell me your experiences with your sources but not tomato sauce or brown sauce as that could get sticky lol,, and let me know which you prefer and if you yourselfs have seen any diffrence in 1080p to 1080i quality high definition picture!!! or even just 720p?
im not sure what sky and virgin are transmitting at but i know the ps3 can do 1080p (full high deff) so fire away let me know, im very interested to hear your views, cheers, nick
