If asked to draw, what is the first thing that hits your mind? When i was younger, i loved to draw sceneries so that was the first that used to come on my mind then. Now , i like like sketching or drawing faces. The reason i ask is because there are certain things / objects that people draw out of habit, or they dnt even realise but they draw the same thing whenever they draw.
What is it that you would want to draw?

I loved hellcowboy's responce.
However, the first thing I think of when someone says draw, is, I don't know how. I have a couple of my "doodles" on my profile.
I call them doodles, others call the sketches. I am very unaware of what I am doing when I pick up a pencil and draw something so....This is why I call them doodles, because I didn't set out to draw them in the first place.
I have noticed that I do a lot of faces and eyes. I love to see people's eyes.

What a coincidence, even i like to draw eyes and faces but actually just half the face, the other half is covered either with hair or something else. I feel it gives a kind of a mystery element to the face. Even i like to see peoples eyes, it talks a lot about people.

Whenever I think of drawing, I think of drawing horses. I love horses and for many years, I quit drawing them or anything else. In fact, I hadn't drawn anything since I was a teenager until just the middle or end of last year. But now I draw using the computer and MS Paint all the time. In fact, I even started a group over at gather.com called the Drawing Challenge Art Theme of the Week Group where we have a weekly art theme and draw our own interpretation of that theme. I love it! I mostly draw horses cuz I love 'em so much but I have discovered that I even like drawing other things. It's just a lot of fun for me and it helps me to relax and focus.

Wow, thats a beautiful horse that you've drawn. You must have done it in MS Paint, right? When i was in school i loved to draw just the face of the horse, beyond that would be a difficult task for me! Even your avatar reflects you love for horses.

The first thing that comes to my mind is a Danish-style farmhouse with attached barn, hat my grandfather taught me how to draw. It's an optical illusion because it starts with a straight line, but the picture itssel when finished gives a look of perspective, and turns the building into an almost suare'd off horse-shoe shape, but viewed from the front, not from overhead.

It feels nice to think of things that our father and grandfather taught us, isnt it? When you mentioned that you draw aDanish style farmhouse with attached barn, it reminded me of a house that my father had taught me to draw that was also an optical illusion house and it did start with and had straight lines just at diffrent angles.

when asked to draw, i most often think about drawing a portrait (portraits are almost an obsession for me)because I always want to capture the emotion in a person's eyes, or even their profile as they daydream/focus their attention and such

if asked to draw, the first thing that comes to my mind is a face of mickey mouse.it was very easy to learn to draw it and it has been my favorite object of art since childhood days. of late, with water and pastel color, my recent choice is that of a tree. giving it shades and drawing is really fun.

Its so amazing to see what all people like to draw. I till date cant draw a perfect mickey mouse!! Drawing a tree and giving it shades of green that would look real sounds really easy, but that is the most difficult part of it. It takes alot of practise to make things look real when you draw and paint. And yes it is fun to draw and let your emotions on paper with colors.
