Ever have this Happen to your Car?

Road Paint behind my Tires - October 2007 - Yellow street paint got spashed up under my tires.

Last fall they were painting lines on the street...I didn't know it...they had no signs up or anything to let me know it was just painted. I had to swing around a parked car and go across the line. Check out the picture to see what happened. I called and they told me they have insurance that covers if you get paint on your car anywhere except the one place where I got it! It's still there. They told me I could spray paint it black or try to remove it with paint remover. I haven't been in the mood for anything like that. And I probably never will be.

I'm not going to lie, that actually looks really cool! If it was my car I'd probably leave it and when people asked? I'd have an awesome story to tell!

What advice! You could take some bug and tar remover, that will get it off, just use a little bit at a time so it won't remove the paint.

I don't know if it will even come off now. It's been on there for 6 months. It's not on the painted part. Did you look at the picture? It's under where the tires are. I think it's called the wheel well. Thanks for commenting. I was beginning to think no one was interested in this.

Oh no!Maybe you bring to the shop so they know what to do and hopefully your insurance will cover it.Goodluck!

Well, isn't that convenient that they got insurance for everything except the one place you got it on your car. I would have fought that one if I were you. I can't believe they told you spray paint it pft... I know though that they have car touch up paint that we have for our car, you may want to ask about it in an auto store...
