Were you attacked by an animal before? |
| |
| Have you been attacked by an animal before? I'm talking about at least the size of a domestic cat. I was once attacked by a monkey when I was 3 or 4 years old. The monkey did not hurt me though but my sister recalled I was shocked. That was because I was eating a banana and our eldest sister and I went outside the house. Our neighbor's pet monkey saw the banana and swiftly went to me to grab the banana. My sister was also afraid and did not know what to do. Our neighbor who owned that monkey pulled it back. Another instance was a dog biting my hand but the bite was just shallow. Only a scratch that did not bleed. My neighbor who owned the dog rubbed garlic on my hand. I was still a child then. A few years after I was attacked by that monkey. But despite that, as a grown up, I would love to have a monkey and a dog as pets. | | | | | |

| | I've been bitten by several dogs, twice by the same one before, went to the emergency room the one time because it went deep; guess I didn't learn my lesson. Ha ha. Yeah, it didn;t make me scared of dogs or anything though. Living in America I am guessing my chances of being bitten by a money are pretty slim. | | | | | | |

| | Good thing you haven't been infected by rabies after having been bitten by several dogs. With just one dog the risk is already great. Their humans might have them injected with anti-rabies before they got you. Dogs are in fact, lovable but only mutual familiarity is needed. Thanks for posting. | | | |

| | Oh you poor thing. That must have been scary. I was once attacked by my big male cat. He mauled my toe and foot with his teeth and clawed me. I was horribly cut and bleeding all over the place. It wasn't his fault. I moved in the dark and he did not see me. He is partially deaf, anyway. I must have sneaked up on him. Can't blame cats or you'll just end up hating them. | | | | | | |

| | I can say you really love your cat. He could hurt you by instinct but you still understood he was just surprised. Other pet owners might at least kick the cat if they had experienced the same. | | | |

| | I was scratched by a raccoon one time! It was not a deep scratch, but I did get a tetanus shot. I was at a camp, indoor cabin, but some of the girls had started screaming and running away from it, so it became so scared that it started running after anyone who was moving! I should have stayed in my sleeping bag! Later the lady who owned it showed us how tame it normally was! It was only the screaming and running that had scared it so badly that it was trying to get away! | | | | | | |

| | I checked google images and saw that the raccoon looks like a wild cat with a small face. I can't imagine myself being scratched by that thing. | | | |

| | Hi clowdine, fortunately, in my life, I can't remember that I was attacked of any animal or pets that hurt me. I maybe the one guilty about this,LOL, When I was young, I used to kick our cat every time she will climbed and asked me some food. I don't have that patient yet for our cat since my sister spoiled them and used to disturb us a lot. | | | | | | |

| | We used to have a cat named Joan and whenever it's meal time, she and her kittens had our left overs. Somehow they knew they would be fed so they wouldn't ask food in between meals. But sometimes, they would say "meow, meow" whenever they saw us eating something. Even a bun. What I did was I pinched some bits and threw them gently to her. I loved touching them too. | | | |

| | ATTACKED BY A MALE TURKEY When I was a boy, seven years old,in rural Jamaica, I was once atacked by a gobbler. My mother had sent me, on an errand, to one of our neighbours, for the first time. As I entered his yard, I was greeted with an awful bark and a alap from the wing of huge bird. I used to see that bird from a distance, and to hear his awful gobble. It kept attacking me, and I could not escape from the yard, as he stood between me and the gate. I bawled for help, but apparently, no one was nearby to run to my rescue. I climbed onto a forty-gallon metal drum and jumped into the water. Fortunately, it was not full or probably I would have drowned. Every time I looked over the rim of the drum, I saw that infernal bird looking at me. I must have lived an eternity in the water, before that beast strutted away and I climbed out and ran for my life. Our neighbour said that the turkey attacked me, because I was a bed-wetter. My mother swore that such a belief was false, because I wasn't. | | | | | | |

| | That was an overwhelming experience for a boy to be chased by an angry animal and would almost not leave you alone come what may. Huge birds are really scary sometimes. Whenever I look at a duck or a big rooster flapping their wings, I also feel a little weird. | | | |

| | You seem to have been attacked more than one species. I have only been attacked by dogs, always the tiny ones. Little tiny purse dogs with bad temperaments tend to attack my leg. It has happened to me twice. | | | | | | |

| | Just a couple of time. Never bitten by a dog, but yes by snake I approached too much and almost kills me, and once during a dive I was bitten by a conger eel of decent size. I didn't see it and unadvertidely I put my hand in the entrance of his cave. I was wearing thick gloves so it was alright. I think iit's been the only time an animal bit me under the water. | | | | | | |

| | That was so dreadful. By just looking at a snake which is a few steps away without bars is already a big deal to me. How much more if it bit me. | | | |

| | Oh, the biggest bird attacked you? Sometimes they chase and by the way, if ostrich is not the fastest, it is one of the fastest running flightless birds. They also kick from their front side. I wonder what made the ostrich angry. Would you recall why? | | | |

| | You're right. It's always good to take note what would make these animals so you can make sure they won't see you doing or wearing those when you're around them. | | | |
