The interest in field hockey is diminishing by the day and the blame must be laid to the change in playing style. It has become more of a robotic type of game, in which passes and speed matter. It may be an efficient way of playing, but not an attractive one. Now there is even talk of not including it in Olympics as there are not enough people to watch. Only country which had a sizeable following has not qualified for Olympics and so now even they wouldn't watch.
