Would you believe that she wasn't going to be?!! Yup, again they were going to delay her coming home once again till I threw one hell of a fit and threw them with thoughts of hearing from my lawyer!! She was suppose to come home on friday but they couldn't find a surgeon to remove her feeding tube so she had to wait till monday all because of her low down dirty rotten doctor left before removing it and we know darn well it's because mom chewed him out. It was his way of paying her back!! As it went, someone else took it out AND he had the gall to "leave for the day" before taking out the last of iv's she had in her arm AND wouldn't get off of his butt and sign the orders that were faxed to him!! Oh man, I was hot to trot!! I went to the nurses station to see what the hold up was and was told that she may have to stay another night and that's when I blew up!! I told her that she had better find someone to take it out because she's going home TODAY!! Then I turned and walked very angrily to mom's room and she was upset and told dad to go up there and see what was going on and all hell broke loose!! I know other patients heard us because we were just too loud and angry but frankly I didn't give a hoot because we had all been through hell at the first hospital and then there on the second floor and other things happened on the third floor and now THIS?? Oh hell no!! Oh hell no!! They had pushed us way too far and boy did they find that out in a hurry!! They were jumping and a hopping all over the place and do you know, they got that iv thingy out of her arm in less than 5 minutes? You bet they did!! They found out in a hurry that they pushed us too far with their antics, bs and lies. No more were we taking any more!! What has happened to the medical profession people?? It sure has gone to the way side in a huge way!! Let me tell you, if ever, God forbid, any of you have to be hospitalized, be sure to hold your ground in what ever it is you're there for. Ask questions no matter how insignificant it is, it's a genuine question if you don't know the answer. Be sure you're not taken advantage of because you will be if you let them. It's awful!! It shouldn't be this way but unfortunetly it is.

Thank you so much mummymo!! I'm glad she's home but gosh she's so weak. Today she was a little sick but I think it was pure exhaustion getting home and overwelming joy of being home, she felt better tonight until she and dad had an arguement but hopefully things will smooth out from here on out. I can only hope. ((((hugs))))

Oh Cats this is great news. It seems it took a bit of doing, but standing your ground made it happen. Good for you! Haven't I always said, if you want something a little stamping of the feet often helps! LOL
As for the medical profession - it's big business now and going in that direction has made it lose it's humanity in a lot of ways. How sad.

It's really hard to believe though because it's not suppose to be this way. It's suppose to be humanity not money money money. I can guarantee you one thing though, they will never forget us!! lol

But even still - the pursuit of the almighty dollar is what makes the world go round they say, and hospitals today sure seem to be proving it.
And as for not forgetting you.........LOL, I'll BET they won't! ROFL Take care of yourself too sweets.

Yes, I read about your kitty, Bobo, isn't it and I was appalled. I hope he's doing ok...your Mom too of course. And I also hope you are taking care of yourself even if it just means sitting somewhere peacefully for half an hour a day. Brightest blessings dear friend..love and light.

Hi MsTickle and many thanks to you!! She is improving a lot in the past week but she has this persistant pain in her side that's moved to the middle of her stomach. We thought it might be a kidney stone but now we think it may be gas so hopefully she'll take my advice and try some medication for it. I'm at home right now for a much needed break and was returning and found my cat in the yard injured so I got stuck at home for a few days more however, I'm going to pick up my baby boy today and take him with me to my parents so I can care for them both together. I hope this darn black cloud that keeps hovering over me goes away and soon!

I'm glad you put up a major stink about that...it really would be great if you could sue the jerks for such incompetence and how they managed things there. Too bad you plain couldn't have taken the feeding tube out yourself..If it's the same kind my mother had, it would have been no big deal to just pull it out..the reason I say that?? Well my mother was a real pain...LOL. She had a feeding G-tube in her stomach as well. Until she was able to eat solid foods I had to "feed" her that Ensure stuff through the tube, and even when she could eat a bit through mouth still had to have the tube...well the jerk, my mother had a bad habit of "playing" with the tube...kept yanking at it...I would keep telling her, don't do that you'll pull it out...she would reply I'm not doing anything..sheesh
Well my dear mother yanked the tube out, not once, not twice but three times...
Anyway...glad to know you got your way and your mom is home now

You must be some kind of saint to have had to deal with all she put you through. I'd have had her commited some where some how. There's no way I could've done all that you've done.
Thanks for your kind words about her coming home! Hopefully she's on the up and up. Thanks Pye!

well...
i guess that doctor is too selfish...
he just wants the hospital to have more money so he can have a bigger bonus at the end of the year...
i hope your mom is doing ok now...
take care...

You're so right about that. He's an unfeeling selfish @ss and he'll soon find out we're not kidding in the law suit because we're going to persue it to see where we stand in it. Hopefully something good will come of it for mom and if not, at least take this jerks license away.

I am glad that you stood your ground. The doctors seem to do only what they want. You have to double check everything. Good luck with everything!

Oh doctors can be a complete @ss when they want to be. Just because they have all this college and so on doesn't make them any less human than we are. What ever happened to humanity? and bedside manners? Most has gone to the wayside for the $$$$. How sad!
