Favorite Movie of 80's era?

One of my favorite movies in the 80's was "The Monster Squad" I used to rent that all the time on VHS :) I haven't seen it for a very long time, but I'm sure that I would still enjoy it. I believe it was about a bunch of kids that came upon several classic monsters, dracula, Dr. frankenstein's "monster" or "creature", werewolf, creature from the black lagoon that kind.

I loved a movie called "the thing" and also,
"My mom's a werewolf". I think
those were the names. They were so cool and cheesy!

Dirty Dancing is my all time favorite movie of the '80's. Patrick Swayze is one of the main reasons, but as a whole the movie is on ethat I can watch over and over again when itis on tv, even though I have probably watched it something like a several hunded times already.

That sounds like a pretty good one. I never saw it. I liked movies like "Fast Times and Ridgemont High" and "The Breakfast Club" and "St. Elmos Fire" from the 80s.

I'm going to cheat and say one that really didn't reflect the 80's (per se). My favorite would have to be Star Trek II (along with III and IV of course)
