I really dont know why, even now I am like very much tin cans for my wallet, for my pencil case and lately I just bought a doubler decker tin can where I can put in my cell phone and on the other side my other ID cards and a small comb. At home I have this small bag, a portfolio bag made of tin can. Actually its design is for kids but I have painted it with silver to make it silver like. In the store I am looking for a bigger one, a portfolio which I can use to bring papers to the office. I have lots of portfolios already but made of leather and synthetic. I am looking for a slim type one but up to now, I havent seen one. Do you like tin cans for your use, for your wallet, for putting in your things.

I know those tincans can be sturdy and they don't get dirty easily. At one point in my life I got interested in tin cans for wallet but I got annoyed because it makes a distracting noise and I hate to be looked at when people hear that noise. Anyway, those biscuits and chocolates that come in a tin cans? I think they are a good thing to keep papers, cross stitch materials, cards and letters and also socks.

Yes, those tin cans from biscuits and chocolates can be used for that. Before rice box keepers came into fad we are using cans of biscuits to put in our rice. And to store some things. Dont put in coins in your tin coin purse, just the id and other small items, and the paper money. Thanks for the response.

Yes, I remember quite well we used those biscuit cans for rice storage for many years until Tupperware came up with similar idea. You know what? I have been looking for a new wallet since mine is already old and torn but I can't find something that appeals to me. Maybe a tin can will do. But I don't know where to find one here. A pencil box might be good I think.

So were the same on using those cans for rice storage. If only I can send you one which is a double decker one size is about 3"x5"x1.5". If fits some of my atm cards, paper money, a small comb just in case I am not carrying my handbag and my cell phone. I bought it cheap. Tell me so I can send you one. Thanks again.

That is really interesting. I only know of people who use tin cans as a coin purse. I do use tin cans only for putting my cards in it. But doesn't tin cans make noises when you put your stuff in it? hehe..

Well this is a very interesting idea. I don't know if it would work for me since I carry so many things around with me everyday. If you find a bigger one, i would be interested in what you end up getting and how well it works.

Sometimes when we have ground coffee in the house I'll save the tin can after all the contents are gone and use it for coins or keys, etc. It's very handy and saves money, since I don't have to buy a container at the store! I love all those frugal ideas. Be well!

Yes we do that also. We have our coffee plants, we dried it and cook and keep the coffee beans on tin cans. And we only get it when we grond it for making our coffee. But not buying the coffee with tin cans. Thanks for the response.
