Why we drink a lot of beer/wine even if it taste so bad?

we drink beer/wine when we want to celebrate something such as b-day, anniversary, wedding, etc.. we also drink beer/wine when we are upset or lonely such as break-up w/ gf/bf, lost our job, etc.. thats how beer/wine important to our lives. can u imagine drinking a lot water instead of beer/wine when you're having party with your friends? or drinking a lot of soft drinks when you and you're gf/bf broken up? its so weird right? thats why i love beer... a toast for a better life, let's drink to that.
